MIMI IS MISSING!

Has anyone seen Mimi lately? Her blog site is very lonely. I know she is around somewhere because I've seen her comments here and there. But what does Mimi really do all day? I'll tell you. She wakes up a little early, but doesn't get right out of bed - reads a little, maybe a book, or the paper. Phone rings - it's one of the girls checking in to see about the plan for the day. Downstairs to the TV level to watch the morning shows - run down to the kitchen for cereal or Slim Fast for breakfast, depending on the mood. Eat (or drink) while watching Regis and Kelly. Maybe do a crossword puzzle. Amy calls - chat chat. Phone calls for Primary to set up a meeting, or report on a meeting. Time to get dressed soon - Lara will be coming for lunch with the kids. A frantic feasting for lunch - either Wendy's or Spaghetti-o's or soup with crackers - and part of a movie. Bye, Lara. Yes, Livy can stay here while you take Sommer back to school and run some errands. Here, Livy, keep the markers on the sheet. Erin might come over, but more likely will stay home to nap the kiddies. Lara returns after picking up Sommer from school - visit for a few minutes. Rick will be home soon - what's for dinner? Chicken breast with a salad and maybe some ginger-ale or Dr Skippy if Sean is around. Put the dishes in the sink and hope that the dish fairy will come again. Watch a little TV - work on the crossword puzzle, take a phone call or two. Time for bed.

Now, this is not EVERY day, but this is how some days with Mimi have been. I have seen it. But I have also seen the days when Mimi is preparing for the arrival of an important visitor - stress anyone? Try doing chores on 4 levels. Have you ever seen Mimi vacuum the stairs? It's a wonder to behold. Membership to a gym? Not necessary. Mimi has her own "gym".

So if anyone has seen Mimi, please tell her I love her and miss her and would really enjoy reading her notebook...please?

COL - the new Judy abbreviation. That's classic, you have it down pretty well. Well have to run and throw up now... no I'm excited really. I just have to make it to the airplane. We all agree with Amy's comment.

I loved your example of Mom's life. You summed it up pretty good. I think you spurred her on.
